AAT Lecturer
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic AAT Lecturer to join a Further Education college to deliver high-quality teaching across AAT programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT Lecturer with strong subject knowledge and a passion for supporting learners to develop their accounting skills and progress towards successful careers in finance and accounting.
The Role
As an AAT Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across AAT programmes, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality AAT lessons across relevant levels and units.

Planning and preparing engaging teaching materials and learning activities.

Supporting learners to develop their accounting knowledge and practical skills.

Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback.

Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.

Preparing learners for assessments and examinations.
-
Creating an inclusive, supportive and positive learning environment.

Supporting learners with their individual learning and progression goals.
-
Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote learner achievement.

Ensuring teaching is delivered in line with college policies, quality standards and safeguarding requirements.
About You
We are looking for an experienced AAT Lecturer who is passionate about education and committed to helping learners succeed.
You will ideally have:

Experience teaching AAT within a Further Education, college or training environment.

Strong knowledge of AAT programmes and accounting principles.
-
Relevant AAT, Accounting, Finance or professional qualifications.
-
A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent would be advantageous.

Experience of assessing and supporting learners.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational and classroom management skills.

A genuine passion for teaching and developing learners.

The ability to engage and motivate learners with different abilities and backgrounds.

A good understanding of safeguarding and equality, diversity and inclusion within an educational setting.
