Working Days (on rotation): Thurs, Fri, Sat – 7:00am–7:30pm | Sunday Off | Mon, Tues, Wed - 7:00am - 7:30pm
About the Role
We’re looking for an Able Seafarer to support the safe and efficient operation of vessels across the PD Ports fleet. This is a hands-on role covering deck duties, dredging support, and day-to-day vessel operations, working closely with the Master and senior crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with mooring and unmooring operations
- Support navigational watchkeeping
- Operate and assist with dredging equipment and deck machinery
- Maintain deck equipment to a safe, operational standard
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping onboard
- Support bunkering, watering, and general vessel activities
- Assist with planned maintenance tasks
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Report hazards, defects, and incidents promptly
- Provide cover across the fleet as required
Requirements
- Navigational Watch Rating Certificate (essential)
- Valid ENG1 Medical (essential)
- Previous marine/seafaring experience
- Dredging or similar experience (desirable)
- Engine Room Watch Rating (desirable)
