Accommodation Manager / Registered Manager - Mental Health Supported Living - SE London - Maternity Cover - £38k to £43k.
A multi-award winning company that offers supported living to vulnerable adults with mental health challenges, is looking for an Accommodation Manager / Registered Manager. This will be to cover maternity leave for one of their homes in the SE London area. The jobholder will ensure that the support staff are performing to a high standard, ensuring that service complies with the requirements of Quality Assurance Framework (QAF). They will oversee that that the residents are provided with a supportive service that will engage and empower them to develop domestic, social and life skills and prepare and enable them to live independently. The post holder will lead a team of recovery coordinators and senior recovery coordinator and will support them with delivery of the operational plan including occupancy and financial targets.
SALARY ETC:
- £38k to £43k + excellent benefits.
- Full-time, on-site, maternity cover contract.
- Working mainly core hours, Monday to Friday, however you will need to be adaptable when needed.

REQURIEMENTS:
- You will ideally be a registered manager, and/or hold a degree in social work, psychology/ health and social care, housing or equivalent, as well as a level 5 or above in NVQ Health and Social Care.
- Experience of working with people with enduring mental health, challenging behaviours, complex needs and substance misuse.
- Experience of managing support staff, incidents and difficult situations with resilience within a high supported mental health environment, as well as lone working in a support environment.
- Effectively working with other professionals involved in supporting a client.
- Dealing sensitively and appropriately with clients who may be distressed or in a state of crisis.
- Understanding of the roles of statutory agencies involved in mental health.
- Excellent knowledge of mental health conditions and dual diagnosis.
- Knowledge of support planning and risk assessing client’s needs.
- Knowledge of the Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) or Care Quality Commission (CQC).
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
- To head and oversee the Accommodation and support needs of clients.
- Professionally lead by example and resourcefully empower Recovery Coordinators as a role model.
- Guarantee a warm welcoming reception for tenants, their relatives and visitors to the Accommodation and maintain excellent hospitality etiquette.
- Conduct regular individual supervisory performance and feedback assessments with Recovery Coordinators and domestic staff including providing guidance, direction, and training to all staff.
- To manage Recovery Coordinators and support staff and promote best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that tenants are afforded a transparent understanding of the services presented to them and ensure they are referred to other agencies within their support purview.
- To be responsible for the support, quality of life and welfare of tenants, adopt a person-centred approach and promote equality, fairness and unity in diversity.
- Provide strategic leadership by stimulating and systematising activities and workshops for the welfare of tenants.
- To safeguard vulnerable clients, carry out regular audits to ensure compliance with the Quality Assessment Framework (QAF), and ensure regular H&S checks are carried out and accurate records are kept.
- To submit quarterly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and periodic written reports.
- To co-ordinate and liaise professionally with business associates, external professionals, police, GPs, local authority and other partner agencies as a matter of course to fulfil the Company’s services and develop new partnerships.
- Communicate with the revenues & benefits department to address tenant welfare benefit matters and providing assistance where necessary.
- Act as On-Call manager with responsibility to recording all communication, advice offered and action that has taken place outside business operating hours.
- Ensure QAF Level A standards are maintained and observed in the service.
