Account Director – Building Services
Location: Central London
Salary: Up to £90,000 + package

We are currently seeking an experienced Account Director with a strong building services and engineering background to lead a key facilities management contract in Central London.

This is a senior client-facing position with responsibility for overall contract performance, operational delivery, commercial management, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across a major building services / facilities management contract.

• Take overall responsibility for contract performance, service delivery, KPIs, SLAs, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

• Lead and develop engineering and facilities management teams, ensuring high standards of operational performance.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.

• Oversee budgets, P&L performance, commercial management, and contract profitability.

• Identify opportunities for contract growth, additional services, projects, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure effective management of planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and critical engineering systems.

• Lead performance reviews and present operational and commercial information to senior stakeholders.

• Manage subcontractors and supply-chain partners to ensure consistent service delivery.

• Drive a strong culture of health & safety, compliance, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.

About You

• Strong background in building services, engineering, or facilities management.

• Previous experience in a senior contract, account, or operational management position.

• Proven experience managing client relationships and large engineering/FM teams.

• Strong commercial and financial awareness, including experience managing budgets and contract performance.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Relevant engineering or facilities management qualification is desirable.
