All About the Role
Reporting to the Contracts Director, you’ll demonstrate passion, hard-work, ambition, and a ‘can-do’ attitude to help us build and develop the business. You must be driven, collaborative in your approach, customer focused and goal oriented, with efficient organisational skills and able to work innovatively and creatively. You will be given the training necessary to carry out your role, including mentoring by a strong, established sales/account management team to develop business within our existing customer base whilst also seeking new opportunities.
Key Tasks could include:
- Will need to learn all the technical aspects and key features of our extensive product range and have the confidence and ability to sell the product
- Will need to gain an excellent understanding of the Steel Market including all relevant competitors and products
- Serve as a point of contact for customer account management matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
- After training, clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly results to BDM and Contracts Director
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement
- Process sales enquiries/orders and see all administration through to completion, ensuring excellent levels of customer service
- Management of both parent and finished part stock, in line with supplier lead times and customer forecasts
- Monitor active/dormant/potential conversion ratios and continually improve on these
- Liaise with Contracts Director to ensure targets are achieved
- Understanding of export paperwork/documentation would be advantageous

All about you:
- You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way
- Ideally previous experience in a target driven sales role, however training will be given
- Ideally experience working within; Manufacturing, Steel Distribution, FMCG or Utility sector
- Builds strong relationships quickly
- Proactive attitude and approach
- Excellent communication & Customer Service skills
- Organised & methodical in your approach
- Tenacity & resilience to be successful in this busy, target driven role
- Excellent computer & numerical skills
