Account Manager/Customer Relations Manager

Qualifications:      

  • Technical qualification (HNC or equivalent) preferred, but qualification by experience accepted.
  • Valid full EU driving license or equivalent.

Experience (number of years, seniority level, nature): 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in technical support of refractory product categories, with a sales bias.
  • Good general knowledge of the iron and steel business and refractory competition.
  • Proficient in using ICT equipment and systems, particularly Microsoft office programmes.

Expertise areas:    

  • .Ability to meet new people, either in person or via telephone, and quickly establish rapport. 
  • Ability to present technical issues both in 1:1 and 1:many environments.
  • Team player; ability to effectively communicate and work together with people in a matrix environment, and ability to gain support from team members in other functions and departments. 
  • Self-starter; able to work independently and provide supervision and guidance when required to more junior sales engineers.
  • Must be willing and able to travel with occasional nights away.
