Account Manager – Supply Chain as a Service (SCaaS)
Location: Basingstoke
The Opportunity
Our client is one of the largest UK-owned Contract Electronics Manufacturers (CEMs), supplying EMS and supply chain services to leading technology companies across the UK and Europe. Operating from a modern, state-of-the-art facility, they support customers across the commercial, space, defence, transport, audio, motorsport, and instrumentation sectors.
As part of an exciting growth journey including a new world-class facility, they are looking for a talented Account Manager to join their Supply Chain Solutions team.
The Role
As Account Manager, you will be the key point of contact between the business and its customers — managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring clients receive the highest level of service throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as primary contact for assigned customers, building strong, long-term relationships
- Communicate customer requirements and technical needs effectively to internal teams
- Run regular customer meetings (on-site and remote) to review performance and explore new opportunities
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within existing accounts, working alongside the external Sales Team
- Lead contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and proposal development
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery, proactively resolving any issues
- Support customers with technical queries, liaising with internal experts as needed
- Stay on top of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
- Represent the business at industry events and trade shows
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting to senior management
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing (EMS) or a related industry Preferred
- Strong account management and business development track record, with demonstrable account growth
- Excellent relationship-building skills across technical and commercial stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Results-driven, with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth
- Willingness to travel across the South of England for customer meetings
