Joining as a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant, you will work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, taking responsibility for accounts, tax and wider compliance assignments while developing strong relationships with clients.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice with a significant presence across South and West Wales. The practice supports a broad client base with accountancy, audit, taxation and wider business services, combining long-standing local relationships with the resources and expertise of one of the larger independent practices in the region.

Description

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
  • Preparing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
  • Completing VAT returns and supporting monthly and quarterly accounting requirements
  • Working closely with owner-managed businesses across a varied client portfolio
  • Using digital accounting platforms including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and KashFlow
  • Using IRIS or similar practice software for accounts and tax assignments
  • Helping clients utilise digital accounting technology and real-time financial information
  • Managing your own workload effectively and ensuring client deadlines are achieved
  • Responding to client queries and providing a high standard of ongoing service
  • Supporting and coaching less experienced colleagues
  • Taking on additional responsibility as your experience within the practice develops

Profile

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience gained within an accountancy practice and could be qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.

You may be:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
  • AAT qualified and looking to continue developing your career
  • Qualified by experience with strong general practice expertise
  • Experienced in preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses
  • Comfortable preparing corporation tax and self-assessment returns
  • Knowledgeable across VAT and periodic accounting requirements
  • Familiar with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, KashFlow or similar platforms
  • Comfortable using IRIS or comparable practice software
  • Confident organising your workload and working to deadlines
  • Able to communicate confidently and professionally with clients
  • Comfortable supporting and coaching junior colleagues
  • Motivated by long-term development and progression within practice

Part-qualified professionals will receive support to complete their professional qualifications.
