Accounts Assistant in Royston, Hertfordshire

We are currently supporting a client who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role would suit someone with a couple of years’ experience in finance who is confident supporting day-to-day transactional activities and assisting with the month-end process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing day-to-day financial transactions, including purchase and sales ledger activities.
• Assisting with month-end procedures, ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date.
• Reconciling accounts and investigating any discrepancies.
• Supporting invoice processing, payment runs and general finance administration.
• Providing wider support to the finance team as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience in a finance or accounts-based role.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Has experience with account reconciliations and an interest in month-end activities.
• Is comfortable working as part of a team and managing their workload effectively.
