We have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Assistant based in Biggleswade for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Accounts Assistant role
Salary: £33,000 - £36,500
Location: Biggleswade
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours a week
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant
- Process purchase ledger invoices
- Manage credit control activities
- Allocate customer remittances
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Resolve invoice queries
- Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Assist with month-end and year-end
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Liaise with internal departments to respond to finance queries and provide administrative support
Requirements for a successful Accounts Assistant
- Strong data entry and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other finance systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to manage workload efficiently and work independently when required
