Accounts Assistant

Are you an Accounts Assistant with AAT Level 4 (or nearly there) looking for a role where you’re genuinely supported to grow? Join a friendly, collaborative team in Colchester and put your AAT Level 4 skills to work across a varied client base.

The Role

• Prepare accounts and corporation tax returns for limited companies

• Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships

• Assist with personal, business and 

• accurate financial record‑keeping

• Prepare VAT returns and help clients with digital record‑keeping

• Communicate with clients, gather information and respond to queries

• Maintain high‑quality working papers and files

• Use cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CCH

• Support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of the office

About You

• AAT Level 4 qualified or close to completion

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach

• Confident with cloud accounting software and Excel

• Clear communicator who enjoys working with clients

• Organised, proactive and eager to keep developing
