As an Accounts Assistant, you'll work with a varied portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors, giving you exposure to different industries, business structures, and accounting challenges. You'll be supported by an experienced team who are committed to helping you develop your technical knowledge, build confidence with clients, and continue progressing your career, whether that's through further study or increased responsibility.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Supporting bookkeeping activities, including reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting clients with cloud accounting requirements
- Assisting with management accounts and other financial reporting assignments
- Building strong relationships with clients, responding to queries and providing ongoing support
- Working with a range of cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and CCH
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider business to deliver an exceptional service to clients
What we're looking for:
- AAT Level 4 qualified
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice would be advantageous
- Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine desire to continue learning
- Someone who enjoys building relationships and being part of a supportive team
