We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join our successful, family-run automotive business in Suffolk. This Accounts Assistant role offers an experienced finance professional a stable Monday to Friday position, supportive working environment and clear opportunities for long-term progression.

Duties:
  • As an Accounts Assistant, maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Process and record payments in line with company procedures.
  • Operate cash management and credit control systems.
  • Provide accurate financial information to support management controls.
  • Ensure financial activities comply with relevant guidelines and procedures.
  • Use business systems and technology effectively.
  • Manage your own workload and contribute to the effective operation of the business.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to improve profitability and customer care.
  • Build positive working relationships across the business.
  • Support process improvements and company projects involving other sites, departments and franchises.
  • Promote high standards of quality, communication and customer care.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar finance position.
  • Good understanding of financial records, payment processing and credit control.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Effective communication and listening skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence using business systems and technology.
  • Positive approach to improving processes and supporting wider business objectives.
