Salary: £28,000–£32,000
Type: Full-time, Permanent

A well-established and growing technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across transactional finance within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role
You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the accounts function, supporting credit control, purchase ledger, sales invoicing, and reconciliations. The role offers scope to get involved in month-end activities and audit preparation depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit control and setting credit limits

  • Processing sales invoices and dispatch documentation

  • Managing payment runs and allocating payments

  • Processing expenses and credit card claims

  • Bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations

  • Supporting supplier and customer queries

  • Assisting with VAT returns, accruals, prepayments and audit preparation (where applicable)

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an accounts department

  • Experience in credit control and accounts payable

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal

  • Ideally AAT qualified or studying

  • Experience with SAP Business One advantageous
