Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Processing subcontractor applications and invoices, ensuring accurate records and timely payments
- Raising and posting sales invoices
- Processing company credit card transactions and employee expenses
- Assisting with banking activities and reconciliations
- Carrying out daily accounting tasks using Sage 200
- Managing a busy shared finance inbox and responding to queries
- Assisting with payroll-related and labour wage queries
- Producing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets, including the use of VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Supporting the wider finance team with general accounts and administrative duties
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar accounting role
- Experience using Sage 200 or comparable accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and support different areas of the business
- Access to your own vehicle due to the location of the office
- Availability to start at short notice would be advantageous
