Your responsibilities as Accounts Assistant
- Process supplier invoices, matching them against purchase orders and goods received notes
- Resolve invoice queries, supplier discrepancies and maintain accurate supplier records
- Support month-end activities including accruals, reconciliations and reporting
- Complete GRNI reconciliations and investigate outstanding balances
- Assist with weekly payment runs, supplier statement reconciliations and aged creditor management
- Maintain accurate financial records, strong audit trails and support year-end audit requirements
What we’re looking for in a Accounts Assistant
- Previous experience within Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or a broader finance position
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliations and supplier account management
- Ability to investigate financial discrepancies and resolve queries efficiently
- Good organisational skills with a high level of accuracy when handling financial data
- Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
