Job Title: Accounts Receivable Assistant
Location: Hybrid role 1-2 days per week in the office - Littlemore Mental Health Centre Sandford Road, Littlemore Oxford OX4 4XN, the rest can be worked from home.
Hours: 24 hours per week – Hours available between Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

Role type: Temporary for 4 months with possibility of extension

Duties to include but not limited to:
- Process all payments received onto the system, matching against correct invoices following process documents.
- Chase the payment of debt owed to Oxford Health Foundation Trust for a specific range of customers ensuring that all debt owed to the Trust is received according to terms and weekly chasing schedules are updated accordingly.
- Raise invoices and credit notes following process documents on the Accounts Receivable finance software.
- Answer queries that come via telephone, email or letter.
- Process all payments received onto the system allocating to the correct invoices where applicable or journaling any non-invoiced income to the relevant cost centres.
- Take payments by Bank Transfer or GovPay where appropriate, banking any cheques in a timely manner.
- Identify any errors on payments received and liaise with customers and other departments to ensure relevant action is taken to resolve.
- Arrange payment plans with customers, gaining supervisor approval within the Trust policies and procedures.
- Ensure that customer account records are maintained by completing a form for the Accounts Receivable Supervisor to make any amendments.
- Accurately process invoice and credit note requests as per process document. This includes ensuring correct VAT treatment. Post any printed invoices out in a timely manner.
- To instruct and advise staff on the correct completion of Accounts Receivable forms to aid prompt payment of invoices raised using Invoice requirements checklist.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- Competent with Microsoft office programmes, particularly Excel
- Excellent IT skills
- NHS experience (desirable)
- Accounts receivable knowledge
- Excellent telephone manager
