Accounts Senior – Accountancy Practice

Location: Verwood, Dorset
Rate: £26 - £32 per hour
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Full-time
Working Pattern: On-site / hybrid once started

CMR Jobs are working with an established accountancy practice in Verwood who are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to provide additional support to their team on a temporary basis, with a potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous accountancy practice experience who can quickly get up to speed and confidently manage accounts preparation work with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing year-end and statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Completing accounts from client records through to final preparation
• Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing basic corporation tax and personal tax computations where required
• Completing reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial records
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Supporting the wider practice with accounts and general compliance work

The ideal candidate

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
• Strong experience preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations and basic tax
• Confident communicating directly with clients
• Qualified, part-qualified or QBE candidates will all be considered
• Available at short notice and able to commute to Verwood
