PAY: £12.71 per hour
TERM: Ad-hoc - Minimum of 25 days per year as required
HOURS: Cover will be between Monday and Friday; 08:30 – 16:30
Hales Group are recruiting for an Ad Hoc Receptionist to support our well‑established client in Leiston, providing essential front‑of‑house cover during absences. This role is ideal for someone organised, friendly and confident, who enjoys variety and can step in at short notice to ensure reception services run smoothly.
As an Ad Hoc Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face of the organisation, handling enquiries, maintaining a professional reception area and supporting day‑to‑day front‑of‑house operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Helping with general enquiries, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, callers and customers.
- Housekeeping of the reception area, keeping the area tidy, organised and presentable at all times.
- Ensuring a professional, friendly and efficient service is delivered consistently.
- Ad hoc cover providing flexible support to cover sickness and absence, with a minimum of 25 days per year.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous reception or customer service experience.
- Strong communication skills, being confident, polite and able to handle enquiries professionally.
- Comfortable stepping in at short notice and working flexibly.
- Basic IT proficiency, able to use email, phone systems and simple software.
