Are you an experienced and highly organised professional with a background in managing administrative functions within education or regulated settings? We are recruiting an Administration Manager to lead the administrative, facilities, and health & safety operations at a prestigious service in Pembrokeshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organisation committed to delivering practical land and craft-based education for young people with learning differences.
As the Administration Manager at our college in Pembrokeshire, you will oversee all administrative activities across both educational and residential services. Your responsibilities include managing reception, supporting health and safety compliance, maintaining records, overseeing procurement, and ensuring smooth facilities management. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver high standards in support services, facilitating effective communication and compliance with safeguarding policies and regulatory inspections.
Key duties include:
- Managing administrative systems, records, and publications for the college.
- Supervising reception staff and coordinating operational activities.
- Ensuring health and safety compliance, including audits, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Overseeing facilities and estates management, including contractor liaison and safeguarding procedures.
- Supporting the preparation of reports for inspections and maintaining quality assurance processes.
- Managing procurement, budgets, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive environment aligned with the organisation’s ethos and safeguarding policies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience managing administrative functions within education or a similar regulated environment.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in team management.
- Exceptional organisational, IT, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, safeguarding, and compliance processes.
- Experience in records management, audits, procurement, and budget control.
- Discretion, professionalism, and high standards of confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend hours, with a willingness to travel between sites in Pembrokeshire and nearby locations.
