Fox Morris Group are delighted to be working with a Local Authority to recruit an experienced Care Brokerage Officer to join their Adult Social Care team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in social care, brokerage, care coordination or commissioning who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for vulnerable adults and young people preparing for adulthood.

Your Role

As a Care Brokerage Officer, you'll play a key role in sourcing and arranging high-quality, person-centred care packages that meet individual needs whilst delivering value for money.

Working alongside social workers, providers, families and service users, you'll identify suitable care solutions, negotiate with providers and ensure support is arranged quickly, effectively and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange person-centred care and support packages for adults and young people preparing for adulthood.
  • Source residential, supported living, domiciliary care and specialist placements.
  • Negotiate with care providers to secure the most appropriate and cost-effective support.
  • Work with approved provider frameworks, block contracts and preferred supplier lists.
  • Promote independence by identifying community-based, low-cost and preventative services where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, families and service users to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Ensure care packages are arranged within agreed timescales and available budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records using case management systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within Adult Social Care, Care Brokerage, Commissioning or Care Coordination.
  • Understanding of Adult Social Care legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and CQC regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to resolve challenging situations.
  • A solution-focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience using ICT systems and case management databases.
  • Passion for delivering positive outcomes for vulnerable people.
