Warehouse Administrator
Summary
We’re looking for an organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator to support day-to-day operations at a leading renewable energy project base in Port of Tyne. This role is ideal for someone with experience in logistics or warehouse administration, who enjoys coordinating shipments and managing accurate inventory data. In return, you’ll join a team where your contributions help deliver efficient warehouse processes essential to a major renewables project.
Salary
£18 per hour
Overtime payable at 1.5x standard rate
Location and Working Pattern
Based at the Port of Tyne.
Day shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00
This post is initially until the end of the year, however likely to be extended into 2027.
Client Overview
Our client is a key player in the renewable energy sector, supporting one of the largest offshore wind projects in the UK. They are committed to safety, quality, and sustainability, ensuring efficient warehousing and logistics processes to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems
- Process documentation including purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and shipping documents
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and transport partners
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory counts and reconciliations
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries regarding deliveries and stock availability
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all warehouse documentation
- Assist warehouse supervisors with administrative tasks and scheduling of deliveries
- Previous experience in warehouse administration, logistics, or inventory control
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Experience working with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP or Asset Tracking Databases
- Additional qualifications in business administration or logistics
