Our client, a leading provider of integrated highways management, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to provide essential administrative and coordination support across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career within a professional office environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring processes run efficiently and information is maintained accurately. You will work closely with managers and colleagues across different departments, helping to coordinate activities, manage documentation and provide excellent administrative support.

Purpose of the Role

The Administrator will be responsible for supporting operational and project activities through effective administration, communication and coordination. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to managers and wider business teams.
  • Manage shared email inboxes and respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems.
  • Prepare, update and distribute reports, spreadsheets and documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments and team diaries as required.
  • Assist with the setup, monitoring and closure of projects and business activities.
  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure company records and documentation remain accurate, compliant and up to date.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting of budgets, schedules and business performance information.
  • Assist with data entry, document control and general office administration.
  • Support process improvements and contribute to efficient ways of working.
  • Undertake other ad hoc administrative duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be confident communicating with colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.
  • Have experience working within an office or administrative environment (desirable but not essential).
  • Be willing to learn new systems and processes.
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional and flexible approach to work.
