Pay Rate: £13.48 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: Temporary – approximately 3 months, with the potential to be longer
Reporting to: Admin Team Leader
We are currently recruiting for a Administrator to join the team at a busy logistics operation in Draycott in the Clay. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused administrator to gain experience within a fast-paced warehouse and transport environment.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the team, ensuring customer and warehouse requirements are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing FSL requests promptly and communicating urgent requirements with management.
- Managing goods-in processes and systematically planned trunks.
- Creating booking slots for new stock inbound.
- Preparing pre-advices for warehouse stock.
- Raising outbound orders for warehouse picking.
- Shipping collected and delivered orders.
- Raising transport jobs and collection notes.
- Costing transport jobs.
- Requesting stock to be returned to inventory after 30 days in FSL.
- Reporting discrepancies to the relevant customers and departments.
- Completing trackers and reports.
- Uploading and distributing logs to suppliers and customers.
- Liaising with internal and external customers.
- Leading weekly customer calls and highlighting issues or discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate manual and electronic records using systems including DLx, TT, Tableau and Excel.
- Working to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Running and distributing system reports.
- Reviewing external reports and identifying discrepancies.
- Booking returns onto the system.
- Handling telephone and email communications.
- Filing and general administration.
- Supporting SIF management and other duties as required.
- Experienced in administration, ideally within logistics, transport, warehousing or a similar environment.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working to deadlines, SLAs and KPIs.
- Numerate and literate with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and confident when dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Able to prioritise workload and respond effectively to urgent requests.
- Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player.
- Previous experience with WMS or transport management systems is advantageous, although full training will be provided.
The initial assignment is expected to last around three months, covering a period of long-term sickness, although the assignment could be extended depending on business requirements.
