Aerospace Finishing Operative – Masking

A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is looking for an Aerospace Finishing Operative to join its finishing department, specialising in precision masking of safety-critical components. Full cross-training across other finishing processes will be provided over time, giving genuine long-term development within a stable, well-established team.
What you'll be doing:
- Masking complex aerospace components using tapes, plugs, and bungs ahead of specialist coating processes
- Handling small, intricate parts with a high degree of precision and care
- Unmasking completed components and carrying out visual checks for defects
- Working to engineering drawings and process specifications
- Supporting the wider finishing team as cross-training progresses
- Maintaining consistently high standards on safety-critical aerospace components throughout
What you need:
- Background in manufacturing or engineering - any hands-on production environment considered
- Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and confidence handling small, intricate components
- Awareness of H&S procedures and quality standards
- Ability to read engineering drawings (training provided)
- GCSE grades D–G or equivalent
- Surface preparation or finishing experience beneficial but not essential

- Days: 08:00–17:00 Mon–Thu / 08:00–12:00 Fri
