Are you an experienced aerospace quality professional looking for your next challenge as an Aerospace Quality Manager?
We are recruiting for an exciting Aerospace Quality Manager opportunity with a well-established aerospace manufacturing business based in Southend-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer, Senior Inspector, Quality Supervisor or Team Leader looking to step into an Aerospace Quality Manager position whilst remaining hands-on and involved in day-to-day quality activities.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Aerospace Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Quality Management System, leading a team of inspectors, managing FAIR activities and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
The RoleAs the Aerospace Quality Manager, you will play a key role in driving quality performance across the business whilst supporting production, customers and regulatory requirements. This is a highly varied position where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Creating, reviewing and approving FAIRs and LAIRs.
- Supporting and administering VisualFAIR documentation.
- Planning and conducting internal audits.
- Supporting customer and external audits.
- Managing calibration, testing and qualification activities.
- Leading and supporting a small team of skilled inspectors.
- Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participating in management review meetings and supporting wider business objectives.
To be successful in this Aerospace Quality Manager role, you will have:
- Previous aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements.
- Experience completing and approving FAIRs.
- Internal audit experience.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Previous leadership, supervisory or team management experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage changing priorities within a busy manufacturing environment.

Package- £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
- 4-day working week
- Monday to Thursday, 06:45am - 4:30pm
- 37-hour working week
