We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a major HS2 project in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes, delivering complex packages of viaducts, earthworks and reinforced concrete structures.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of major civil engineering works, managing site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of earthworks, viaduct and structural packages from inception through to completion.
  • Manage site operations to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Coordinate engineering, commercial and construction teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee subcontractors, supervising performance, quality and productivity.
  • Produce and review construction programmes, method statements, risk assessments and work package plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HS2 requirements, client specifications and company procedures.
  • Manage labour, plant, materials and temporary works requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Chair site meetings and liaise with clients, designers and key stakeholders.
  • Drive a positive safety culture and ensure full adherence to SHEQ standards.
  • Support commercial activities including forecasting, cost control, variations and procurement.
  • Mentor and develop Section Engineers, Site Engineers and Foremen.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Site Agent on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong track record delivering earthworks, viaducts, bridges, reinforced concrete structures or large structural packages.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure schemes such as HS2, highways, rail or large-scale civils projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial processes.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a fast-paced construction environment.
