Agile Project Manager

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Department of Health & Social Care, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate per day which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Agile Project Manager this role will be based at: Remote with Occasional Office Visits, SW1H 0EU

The right candidate will:

• Lead Agile project delivery for the AI Team, ensuring strong delivery cadence, sprint planning, backlog oversight, and prioritisation.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams across a hub‑and‑spoke AI operating model, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and the departmental AI roadmap.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and blockers, escalating issues early and maintaining delivery momentum across the portfolio.
• Support scoping and triage of AI use cases, coordinating the pipeline of work with business areas and technical teams.
• Work closely with policy, data, cyber, governance, and security teams to ensure requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
• Track delivery benefits and ensure mechanisms are in place for evaluation, ROI measurement, and documentation.

We require the following:

• Experience identifying and managing risks, issues, and blockers, and working with senior stakeholders to resolve them quickly.
• Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical audiences, facilitating collaboration across policy, data, engineering, and governance functions.

• Experience working with AI, data, automation, or digital transformation programmes.
• Demonstrable experience leading Agile delivery across complex, multi‑disciplinary teams, with a proven ability to maintain delivery momentum and manage dependencies.
