AI Delivery Lead in Cardiff, South Glamorgan

Location: Remote but you would ideally have 2 days p/month in Cardiff so the preference would be for you to be based closer to South Wales / South West or the Midlands ideally
Rate/Salary: £550-600 p/day (Inside IR35) 

We’re looking for an experienced AI Delivery Lead to lead AI and technology initiatives within a Financial Crime Compliance environment.

The role combines AI delivery with Customer Crisis Management and incident management, with around 35% of the role focused on operational support, customer-impacting incidents and continual service improvement.

You’ll work across Product, Engineering, Support and Business teams, taking initiatives from business case through to delivery, adoption and value realisation.

• Lead delivery of AI, GenAI, automation and technology initiatives from concept through to adoption.
• Translate business objectives into delivery plans, measurable outcomes and benefits.
• Support Customer Crisis Management and Major Incident Management, coordinating teams during customer-impacting issues.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis, post-incident reviews and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality, operational efficiency and customer outcomes through AI and automation.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple Agile teams, including dependencies, risks and key milestones.
• Support SAFe, PI Planning and ART-level delivery.
• Provide clear reporting and communication to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery meets relevant governance, security and Responsible AI requirements.

• 10+ years' experience in Technology Delivery, Programme Management or similar.
• Proven experience delivering complex technology initiatives within enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering AI, GenAI, Machine Learning or automation projects.
• Strong experience with Incident Management, Major Incident Management or Customer Crisis Management.
• Excellent stakeholder management across Product, Engineering and Business teams.
• Strong Agile delivery experience. SAFe experience would be highly desirable.
• Experience in Financial Services, Risk, Compliance or Financial Crime would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI / AI governance would be beneficial.
• French language skills would be advantageous due to teams based in Paris.
