We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team, covering planned and reactive maintenance across the North East.
This is a hands-on role for an engineer who is confident working independently, diagnosing faults and delivering high-quality maintenance and repair solutions across a range of commercial air conditioning systems.


The Role
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning and associated HVAC systems.
Attending reactive maintenance calls and responding effectively to breakdowns and faults.
Carrying out diagnostics, fault finding and repairs across a range of air conditioning systems.
Identifying the root cause of faults and providing effective, long-term solutions.
Replacing failed components and carrying out system repairs.
Supporting the replacement, installation and upgrading of air conditioning systems.
Completing service reports, maintenance records and relevant documentation accurately.
Identifying remedial and follow-on works where required.
Working safely and in accordance with company procedures, legislation and client requirements.
Maintaining a professional relationship with clients and site teams.
Working independently while also supporting the wider engineering team when required.
About You
We are looking for an engineer with proven commercial air conditioning experience who can confidently manage both routine maintenance and more complex reactive work.


Essential:
Previous experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer.
Strong experience in servicing, diagnostics, fault finding and repair.
Experience working on a range of commercial air conditioning systems.
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
Ability to diagnose problems and work methodically to find effective solutions.
Full UK driving licence.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
F-Gas Qualification 
Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualification 


Desirable:
Experience with VRV/VRF and split systems.
Experience with system replacements, upgrades and installation.
Experience with ASHP
Experience within a commercial facilities management environment.
