Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on various refrigeration systems, including refrigerated trucks, vans, trailers, and containers.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine the necessary repairs or replacements.
- Install and replace components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and refrigerant lines.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging processes following industry regulations and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system failures and malfunctions.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand their refrigeration needs and provide appropriate solutions and recommendations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and service reports.
- Monitor refrigeration systems' performance, temperature, and efficiency to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance measures.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile refrigeration systems.
- Comply with safety procedures, regulations, and quality standards to ensure a safe work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, resolving concerns, and offering technical guidance.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams for integrated system maintenance and repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Adhere to the company's policies and procedures, including documentation requirements and work order management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant technical qualification or certification in refrigeration, air conditioning, or HVAC systems.
- Proven experience as a Mobile Refrigeration Engineer or a similar role, preferably in a building services maintenance and engineering services provider environment.
- Strong knowledge of mobile refrigeration systems, including different types of units, components, and their functions.
- Familiarity with refrigeration principles, electrical circuits, and control systems.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting refrigeration system issues using specialized tools and equipment.
- Understanding of refrigeration safety protocols, handling of refrigerants, and environmental regulations (e.g., F-Gas regulations).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for proper installation and repair procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and rectifying system malfunctions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with clients and effectively explain technical concepts.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, outdoor settings, and elevated heights.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations as a mobile engineer.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach to work assignments.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
