Improver‑Level Air Conditioning Engineer (F‑Gas Cat 1)

Salary: £28,000–£34,000 + Van + Overtime + Training

About the Role

We’re supporting a leading FM & HVAC contractor as they expand their mobile AC team across retail and commercial sites. They’re looking for an Improver‑Level AC Engineer with F‑Gas Cat 1 who’s ready to take the next step in their development.

This role is ideal for someone who has the fundamentals in place and wants structured progression towards full engineer status.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with AC installs (splits, multi‑splits, cassettes)
• Supporting senior engineers with diagnostics and repairs
• Carrying out PPMs, filter changes, coil cleans and basic checks
• Refrigerant recovery, vacuums, pressure testing
• Logging defects and completing job sheets
• Learning VRV/VRF systems with hands‑on mentoring
• Working safely and professionally on customer sites

What You Need

• F‑Gas Category 1 (essential)
• Level 2/3 RAC qualification (completed or in progress)
• Some hands‑on experience with AC or refrigeration systems
• Good mechanical/electrical awareness
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Full UK driving licence
