Air Export

A major freight forwarding and shipping organisation is looking for an Air Export Clerk to join their expanding air export team, The main part of the role would be to handle export airfreight consignments start to Finish.

ROLE: Air Export

LOCATION: West Drayton

BASIC SALARY: £35k to £49k

HOURS: Monday to Friday 08:45am to 5pm.

ROLE: 

Responsible for managing the air export process from start to finish, order management, dealing with customer enquiries, air export documentation, customs entries, raising of AWB’s and work in close cooperation with our offices while servicing UK customers.

• Timely and effective communication with Customers, partners and internal departments via e-mail/telephone.

• Updating / verifying the Order Management System with customer booking details.

• Liaise with Operations and overseas offices to ensure customer commitments are delivered upon.

• Effective monitoring to ensure collections are completed within the agreed timelines.

• Ensure that all Collection consignments are conforming to correct information.

Proactive problem solving with customers and colleagues when issues arise.

•Ensure consignments are rated correctly in order to Invoice in an accurate and timely manner.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Must possess a minimum of TWO years air freight export experience, and experience of export customs entries, Bookings, quotes, export entries and producing airway bills. Looking for someone who is highly motivated with a good attention to detail.
