Lynx Employment Services is recruiting an experienced Airport Engineering Manager for a permanent opportunity within a large, complex operational environment.
This is a key engineering leadership position, managing a team of eight engineers and taking responsibility for the safe, reliable and effective maintenance of critical engineering assets.
The role has a strong electrical and high-voltage focus, alongside responsibility for a range of mechanical and operational infrastructure.

### The Role

You will:

  • Lead and manage a team of eight engineers working across multiple shift patterns
  • Provide technical leadership across electrical and mechanical maintenance activities
  • Support the maintenance and reliability of critical operational assets
  • Work with high-voltage electrical systems and substation environments
  • Ensure engineering activities are completed safely and in accordance with required procedures and standards
  • Support reactive maintenance and engineering fault escalation
  • Work closely with operational and asset management teams
  • Drive engineering performance, compliance, reliability and continuous improvement
  • Participate in an on-call rota and provide out-of-hours escalation support when required

### What We're Looking For

You will need:

A strong electrical engineering background Experience working with high-voltage systems, with exposure to substations Good supporting knowledge of mechanical engineering and maintenance Previous engineering team leadership or management experience Experience within a complex, safety-critical or highly operational environment Strong understanding of electrical safety, maintenance procedures and operational processes The ability to lead engineers while remaining technically credible and hands-on when required

Experience within aviation, airports, automated systems, materials handling, security infrastructure or other critical operational environments would be particularly advantageous.
