We are looking for an AIT Engineering Planner to support the successful delivery of high-profile engineering programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary teams, helping to drive project performance through effective planning, scheduling, and resource management.

The Opportunity:

As the AIT Engineering Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating activities across multiple projects and functional teams. You will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, optimising resource allocation, monitoring progress against milestones, and providing valuable reporting and planning insight to stakeholders.

This position would suit someone who enjoys balancing technical administration, project coordination, and resource planning within a complex engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work package plans, and resource forecasts.
  • Coordinate resource allocation across multiple projects and functional teams.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Monitor project progress against key milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Produce regular reports on project status, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Support project teams with forecasting, planning, and workload management activities.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Functional Managers, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within planning, scheduling, and resource management processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in Planning, Scheduling, Project Coordination, Resource Planning, or Technical Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera, SAP, or similar software.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret project data and identify trends.
  • Confident communicator who can engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic engineering environment.
  • Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, space, or other highly regulated industries would be advantageous.
