Based in Merthyr Tydfil, the position involves providing vital classroom support to ensure smooth daily operations and fostering an inclusive, engaging atmosphere for young learners. The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver dynamic lessons and promote positive behaviour management. This role offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to the development of pupils’ early years skills in a supportive and professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support to facilitate daily activities
• Collaborate with the Class Teacher to deliver engaging and tailored lessons
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils
• Support classroom management and behaviour strategies
• Assist with individual, group, and class activities to improve learning outcomes

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Primary School Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting Foundation Phase pupils
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Ability to create an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
• Flexibility and reliability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
