Maths Teacher (Alternative Provision)
Prospero Teaching is looking for a committed Maths Teacher to join the Alternative Provision (AP) department of a well-established Secondary School in Warrington. [Supply Teacher | Word]
The school is seeking a Teacher who can inspire and engage students through high-quality teaching in a supportive and nurturing environment. You will be teaching small classes of around 8 students, providing targeted academic support and helping learners overcome barriers to education.
The position is available to start as soon as possible and is expected to run until Christmas, with the possibility of extension, a permanent appointment, or a temp-to-perm arrangement for the right candidate.

- Minimum rate of pay - Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
- Hours - 8:30am - 3:30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths at Secondary level
- Experience working with pupils displaying challenging behaviour or within an Alternative Provision, SEND or SEMH setting would be advantageous
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references that cover the last two years, notwithstanding referencing any appropriate child-related work experience
- Appropriate CV history
