Analytical Chemist

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an Analytical Chemist to join a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Basingstoke, this is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities as an Analytical Chemist:
- Carry out process control and analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates and end products in support of the manufacturing process.
- Carry out testing of samples sent by external customers.
- Perform calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
- Ensure that activities carried out are documented accordingly to ensure high quality standards and traceability.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing team
- Assist with the preparation and release of certificates on analysis
- Carry out laboratory housekeeping
- Prepare analytical standards and reagents
Requirements:
- Education or Degree in Chemistry
- 1 year or more experience in a similar role is advantageous
- Excellent computer skills including Excel
- Excellent organisational skills
- A real interest in Chemistry
- Comfortable wearing protective clothing and breathing masks for long periods of time
The Chemist Role:
- Rotating shifts
- Early – 6am – 2pm
- Mid – 9am – 5pm
- Late – 11am – 7pm
- Early – 6am – 2pm
- Starting salary of £28,000
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
