ANPR Surveyor
Carrington West
ANPR Surveyor
Are you from a construction, surveying, project management, electrical, CCTV or ANPR background and looking for a role with more variety, autonomy and opportunity to develop?
We are recruiting for an ANPR Surveyor to join a well-established construction consultancy based in Huddersfield.
This is a varied position combining site surveying, project coordination and office-based reporting, giving you the opportunity to work across a growing programme of retail and hospitality projects throughout the UK.
You do not need to be an ANPR specialist from day one. Full training on the ANPR-specific aspects of the role will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with solid construction knowledge who is keen to broaden their experience and develop within a professional consultancy environment.
The Opportunity
Around 50% of your working week will involve visiting sites across the UK, carrying out non-intrusive surveys ahead of ANPR camera installations. The remainder of your time will be spent in the Huddersfield office preparing reports, coordinating survey information and liaising with clients and project stakeholders.
You will take ownership of the survey process from initial planning and site attendance through to preparation and issue of the final survey report.
Your site work will typically include:
·Identifying suitable locations for ANPR cameras
·Locating electrical distribution boards and appropriate power supplies
·Establishing practical cable routes between power sources and camera locations
·Identifying where underground ducting or additional construction works may be required
·Taking site photographs and recording key survey information
·Plotting proposed cable routes and camera locations onto plans
·Considering construction, electrical, access and installation requirements
·Highlighting any potential issues that could affect the installation
Following each survey, you will prepare clear and detailed reports using Microsoft Word, Excel and web-based systems, while working with clients and colleagues to ensure projects progress smoothly.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and confident working independently, with the ability to combine site-based problem solving with professional office-based reporting and communication.
You may currently be working within surveying, construction, project management, electrical works, CCTV, ANPR or a similar technical environment.
Ideally, you will have:
·Experience within surveying, construction, project management, ANPR, CCTV or a related discipline
·A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent construction-related qualification
·Good practical knowledge of buildings and construction
·Electrical, cabling, CCTV or ANPR experience - highly advantageous
·An understanding of construction health & safety and CDM requirements
·A valid CSCS card at Black, Gold or White level, or the qualifications required to obtain one
·Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and general IT skills
·Good written and verbal communication skills
·Strong organisation and time-management abilities
·A proactive, self-motivated approach
·Experience working within a professional office environment
A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle, insured for business use, are essential due to regular travel to sites throughout the UK.
This opportunity could be particularly well suited to someone with a construction or project management qualification and practical site experience who is looking to move into a varied consultancy role with genuine scope to develop.
What's in It for You?
Alongside a varied and interesting role, you will receive a strong benefits package including:
·£3,000 car allowance
·25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
·An additional day off for your birthday
·Option to purchase additional holiday
·Pension scheme
·Life insurance
