Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) – Shotton Mill Project | Self-Employed (CIS)

Contract Type: Self-Employed (CIS)
Rate: £30.00–£35.00 per hour (depending on experience)

IMECH Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) to join our team on the Shotton Mill Project.

This is a key role responsible for planning, managing and coordinating lifting operations in accordance with LOLER and BS 7121. We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent leadership skills, sound technical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Essential Requirements

• CPCS A61 Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) card (or equivalent recognised qualification) – mandatory
• Proven experience as an Appointed Person on industrial or heavy construction projects
• Thorough knowledge of LOLER, BS 7121 and safe lifting practices
• Ability to prepare lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements
• Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple lifting activities safely
• High level of responsibility, attention to detail and commitment to safety

Desirable

• Experience on large-scale industrial, energy or infrastructure projects
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CCNSG Safety Passport
