Appliance Repair Engineer
 
A local patch, a van on the drive, and no two jobs the same.
 
This is an Appliance Repair Engineer role with a growing business, out on the road across West Yorkshire.
 
As an Appliance Repair Engineer you will diagnose and repair domestic white goods in customers' homes across West Yorkshire, working on both freestanding and integrated appliances. From washing machines and tumble dryers to dishwashers, electric ovens and hobs, you will be the person who turns up, works out the problem and puts it right, dealing with customers professionally and leaving them sorted. It is varied, hands-on work with a different set of jobs every day, and with manufacturer training provided, you will keep building your knowledge across all the leading brands. If you know your way around white goods and like the independence of being out on the road, this is a solid role with a strong package behind it.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and repairing all white goods, both freestanding and integrated
  • Working across washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, electric ovens, electric hobs and cooker hoods
  • Carrying out first-line refrigeration repairs
  • Working on all the leading brands, including Hotpoint, Bosch and Beko
  • Installing both freestanding and integrated appliances
  • Dealing with customers professionally and representing the business well in their homes
  • Keeping your van stock, tools and paperwork in good order
 
Skills and Experience
To do well as an Appliance Repair Engineer you will need:
  • A minimum of two years' experience in white goods or domestic appliance engineering
  • Good working knowledge across all the leading appliance brands
  • The ability to fault find, repair and install both freestanding and integrated appliances
  • A professional, customer-focused manner in people's homes
  • A full UK driving licence
 
Pay and Benefits
  • A salary of £31,000 to £34,500 depending on experience
  • Overtime available, but never mandatory
