A global air-conditioning manufacturer is expanding its European technical team and is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Pre-Sales Engineer.

This is a varied technical role combining pre-sales support, product development and project management, working across residential and commercial AC products including splits and VRF systems.

You’ll act as a senior technical point of contact for the company’s European distributor network, while also working closely with R&D teams on future products, software and technical tools.

The Role

• Provide high-level technical support to European distributors.
• Advise on AC products, applications and technical enquiries.
• Gather market requirements and feed these into new product development.
• Work closely with R&D teams on new product concepts and specifications.
• Translate technical requirements into functional specifications.
• Support products through development, testing and launch.
• Manage projects involving VRF selection software and technical sales tools.
• Liaise with software developers from initial specification through to testing and delivery.
• Coordinate third-party product testing with laboratories and R&D.
• Develop technical documentation and training materials.
• Help ensure distributors have the technical knowledge and tools required to successfully support the product range.

What We're Looking For

You’ll need significant experience within the air-conditioning industry, ideally around 10+ years, with strong knowledge of splits, VRF and commercial AC systems.

Experience working directly for an air-conditioning manufacturer or established AC brand would be particularly attractive.

You should be comfortable managing technical projects, communicating with different stakeholders and translating commercial or technical requirements into practical solutions.

Experience with selection software, software development projects or functional specifications would be beneficial.

German, French, Spanish or Italian language skills would be advantageous but aren't essential.
