White Label is working with an engineering and manufacturing business that requires a Applications Engineer to join their team.
As Applications Engineer, you will be the key link between engineering capability and customer requirements - reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, developing technical solutions, and turning ideas into realistic product application proposals. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that suits a creative, proactive engineer who enjoys problem solving across a varied workload.
My client is offering a salary of £33,000 – £38,000 + bonus.
- 36.25 hours per week
- 35 days holiday including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown

Duties of the Applications Engineer
- Reading, interpreting and evaluating complex engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Producing 3D assemblies and engineering drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Developing technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Turning ideas into realistic product application proposals through creative and innovative thinking.
- Assisting in the development of new products designed to meet industry standards.
- Maintaining accurate file management and ensuring safety and risk awareness when effecting product specifications.
- Working collaboratively as part of the engineering team while also being capable of working hands-on.
Experience Required of the Applications Engineer
- Minimum HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical or structural).
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in an industrial engineering, design or technical support role.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD - SolidWorks preferred; equivalent software considered.
- Desirable: knowledge of structural steel fabrication, casting, pressing or forging; familiarity with CRM systems.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated and reliable, with good time management.
