Appointment Setter in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of an established client in Hoddesdon looking for a proactive Appointment Setter to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a hands-on, phone-focused role where you will identify decision-makers, conduct outbound outreach, and book high-value meetings for the BDM. Offering a clear route to a permanent contract, full training, and uncapped commission for every meeting attended, it's an excellent opportunity to kickstart your sales career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make 60+ daily outbound calls to fleet operators and transport decision-makers.
• Prospect target companies and engage decision-makers via LinkedIn and email sequences.
• Use AI tools to streamline research, lead qualification, email drafting, and call prep.
• Book and confirm qualified face-to-face and video meetings for the BDM.
• Provide thorough lead handovers to ensure seamless transitions for the sales team.
• Keep the CRM fully updated by logging all daily calls, emails, contacts, and meetings.
• Submit weekly activity reports covering outreach metrics, conversations, and booked meetings.
• Collaborate with the BDM on target sectors, messaging strategies, and pipeline reviews.
   

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience in outbound sales, telesales, or appointment setting.
• Confident phone manner with the resilience to handle objections.
• Strong written skills for effective email and LinkedIn outreach.
• Highly organised and driven to hit daily and weekly activity KPIs.
• Proficient with CRMs, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and everyday AI tools.
