Apprentice Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer

About the position

As a trainee Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer you will be placed with an experienced engineer and will build skills that can be applied to a future career in the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Industry.

This will be supported by undertaking a nationally recognised qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Engineering at a college to technician level (L3) as well as undertaking bespoke internal training in our own Training Academy and other external training courses.

Key responsibilities

• Learning / training - Installation, Service and Maintenance of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems.
• Develop skills, providing support and assistance to others in the engineering team.
• Actively engage in learning and participate in practical activities
• Observing health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Follow company processes.
• Provide a high standard of work.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes

• Proficiency in Mathematics, English and Science subjects.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work and support the team as well as independently.
• Good observation skills and a willingness to learn.
• A flexible positive attitude and great communication skills
• A ‘can-do’ mindset and a passion for doing the job right

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with installation, servicing and maintenance of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration systems
• Learning industry standards, tools and techniques
• Developing technical skills and building confidence on-the-job
• Studying for a fully recognised industry qualification
