Apprentice Electrician

Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to work across our vibrant organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in electrical installation, combining practical, on-the-job experience with formal learning. You’ll work alongside experienced electricians while attending college, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified Electrical Technician.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Salary: To align with the National Living Wage

Duration: Up to 4 years

What You’ll Do:

• Support qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, testing and repair work across our housing stock

• Learn and apply safe working practices in line with legal and organisational requirements

• Deliver excellent customer service when working in customers’ homes

• Use tools and technology to carry out tasks efficiently and correctly

• Attend college and fully engage with learning, coursework and assessments

• Build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers and partners

What You’ll Need:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4 or above

• A strong willingness to learn and develop both technical and personal skills

• Good communication skills and a professional approach

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Good attention to detail and time management skills

• A full UK driving licence (or willingness to work towards one)
