Approved Electrician (Gold Card) – Mobile Role

Cardiff or Bristol

Salary: £42,000 - £44,000 + Company Van + Overtime + Bonus

We're recruiting for an experienced Approved Electrician to join a well-established building services team supporting commercial properties across either the Cardiff or Bristol area.

This is a mobile position working predominantly within office environments, carrying out a mixture of planned maintenance, install and testing/inspection

Experienced required for the Approved Electrician

  • Approved Electrician with a valid ECS Gold Card
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Current DBS check (or willing to obtain one)

Key duties of the Approved Electrician

You'll be responsible for delivering electrical maintenance and installation works across a portfolio of commercial buildings including the testing of all new installs. Duties include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive electrical repairs
  • Inspection and testing (this will take outside office hours either planned evening or weekend work)
  • Small installation projects
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification

As most inspection and testing is completed outside normal office hours, work schedules are planned well in advance, allowing you to effectively manage your workload. A dedicated support team will also handle client bookings and administration, enabling you to focus on the technical work.

Package

  • £42,000 - £44,000 basic salary
  • Performance bonus paid twice yearly
  • Regular overtime available (typically 20+ hours per month)
