Arboriculture Officer

We have an exciting opportunity to join a major north London local authority as a tree/arboriculture officer as they are expanding their busy team of arb department.

The department is responsible for the management and inspection of the Council's tree stock and as such the role encompasses a broad range of duties including; tree inspections, specifying remedial works, instructing contractors and monitoring works, updating the in house tree database and dealing with the public and other stake holder enquiries. 

Suitable candidates should be educated to a minimum of a Level 3 in Arboriculture, be a good communicator and ideally have industry experience surveying trees.

In return a PAYE rate of £30/hr is offered, plus 28 days holiday (including banks) and access to the generous pension scheme. This is intended to be a full time role, but suitable part time candidates will also be considered. This is a temporary role which may become permanent after a probationary period.
