Architect

Conrad Consulting Ltd

Are you an ambitious Architect looking to develop your career with one of the UK's leading AJ100 architectural practices?

Our client is seeking a talented Architect with approximately 2-5 years' post-Part III experience to join their growing Leeds studio. With a strong pipeline of secured education projects and an outstanding reputation for delivering inspiring learning environments, this is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio spanning primary, secondary, SEN, further and higher education.

Whilst previous education sector experience would be advantageous, it is by no means essential. The practice is equally keen to hear from Architects with strong technical and design capabilities from other sectors who are eager to develop their expertise within education.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced Associates and Directors, you'll contribute to projects across all RIBA stages, taking increasing responsibility for both design and technical delivery.

This role offers genuine long-term career progression within a collaborative and supportive environment, where you'll have the opportunity to work directly with clients, develop your project leadership skills and play a key role in delivering meaningful projects that have a lasting impact on communities across the UK.

The Role

As an Architect within the education team, you'll be involved in both the creative and technical aspects of project delivery, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering projects across all RIBA work stages from concept through to completion.
  • Developing innovative, practical and technically robust design solutions.
  • Producing high-quality drawing packages using Revit.
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Supporting client presentations, design workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Coordinating with consultants and contractors throughout project delivery.
  • Assisting with project programming, technical coordination and BIM processes.
  • Helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest professional standards.

We're looking to speak with Architects who can demonstrate:

  • ARB Registered Architect with approximately 2-5 years' post-Part III UK experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
  • Excellent design and technical detailing skills.
  • Experience delivering projects through multiple RIBA stages.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
  • A collaborative approach and genuine ambition to continue developing professionally.

Experience within the education sector would be highly desirable, however candidates from sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, public sector or mixed-use architecture with strong transferable skills are also encouraged to apply.

What's on Offer

  • £38,000 - £48,000 depending on experience.
  • Excellent benefits package.
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
  • Ongoing CPD and professional development.
  • Opportunity to work on nationally recognised education projects.
  • Clear progression towards Senior Architect.
  • Supportive, collaborative studio environment within a highly respected AJ100 practice.

If you're looking to join an established practice with an exceptional reputation and a strong pipeline of technically challenging education projects, we'd love to hear from you.
