So, what is it all about?
Manage and oversee all design and technical aspects of sites/projects, typically between 3-5 at any one time. Duties will incude:
- Assist in production of feasibility layouts, developing house types and standard details
- Using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to draw up floor plans, elevations, and detailed construction packages
- Assisting Chartered Surveyors and Directors with defect analysis, pre-purchase building surveys, and historic building conservation
- Undertake and manage the production of drawings and documents for submission of planning applications as well as submission of planning applications
- Conducting on-site visits to measure land and buildings
To be considered for this role, you'll have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Technician role as well as:
- A recognized qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree in Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, or Construction).
- Proficiency in CAD programs
- Strong attention to detail regarding local building regulations and technical design.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal team
